Jim Hammond (Puppetmaster)

After receiving his MA in Puppetry Design from The University of Connecticut, Jim created Sideshow Productions in 1996 designing puppets for such clients as Florida Grand Opera, New World Symphony, Florida Philharmonic, Broward Center for the Performing Arts, and regional TV Producers. In 2002, Jim began working as part of the puppet department of Disney's The Lion King National Tour. Additonal credits include: Executive Director, Puppet Festival of the Americas (350 artists/9 Countries); Artistic Director for SUM FUN Puppet Summer 2000 ($1.6m. combined budget); and Producer & Artistic Director, Puppeteers of America SOLD OUT National Conference entitled Puppet Rampage with over 550 puppeteers attending in Minneapolis 2007.
