Who knew that within 10 minutes of the doors opening on a Southern football Saturday, that Timeless Tattoo's lobby would be full of customers awaiting their turn in a chair? I was not expecting such a long line, but quickly moved to the counter to book an appointment with my artist.

Hello there and welcome to TATS' first blog post! I'm Kat, one of the show's producers, and just got home from a three hour session with a fantastic tattoo artist! I was also lucky enough to have another TATS producer Colleen Hammond Whitmore along with me for the ride.

While I sat, sometimes comfortably and sometimes with clenched teeth, Colleen took the reign in interviewing Lew Hands while I concentrated on the needle against my back.

Apparently, some tattoo artists go through the same patterns we do...get ink as soon as we turn 18, and later regret it. But hey, we can always go back and fix it again. While I listened to Lew and Colleen discuss history of tattoos, this play performance, and children's opinions of body art, I noticed other people in the studio. A few couples were in the next rooms supporting each other through their own sessions. Two or three other artists popped in to look at my progress while one man stepped in to show off his freshly finished piece.

After the third hour passed, Lew bandaged up my art and sent me on my way. I am already pleased with my tattoo, the shop's professionalism, and great conversation with the staff. Having visited multiple tattoo shops along the East coast, my sit at Timeless is easily one of the top experiences!

Walking into a tattoo parlor with such positive energy and happy customers is a perfect way to begin what could be a dangerous and painful experience. And the candy in our take home care kit is just a sweet touch! For more information on the shop, please visit:
